Identification of needs and priorities on the design of strategies to evaluate exposures to environmental contaminants in populations residing in industrial contaminated areas
Goals for collaborative networking activities of this Task concern the identification of needs and priorities on strategies to evaluate exposures to environmental contaminants in populations residing in industrial areas.
This Task will review and evaluate methods and tools for exposure assessment in industrially contaminated sites.
A specific topic of Task 2 is to identify the best suitable methodologies and strategies to estimate population exposure to environmental pollutants.
This task will review and critically evaluate the available tools to integrate advanced methods in spatial analysis with characteristics of environmental pollution in contaminated areas (i.e. diffusion and/or dispersion modelling for contaminants in environmental matrices).
