Symposium at the ISEE, 28th Annual Conference – Rome, Italy – September 2016

The 28th Conference of the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE) will be held in Rome, Italy on the 1-4th September 2016.

The main theme of the conference is “Old and new risks: challenges for environmental epidemiology”. The Conference will address the challenges in exposure assessment, study design and data analyses in the coming decades.

A Symposium on The health impact of industrially contaminated sites, a global environmental health challenge will

• describe key cases from epidemiological studies around industrially contaminated sites and relevance, use and validity of methodologies as well as study design options (exposome, GIS, residential cohorts);
• identify major environmental health challenges, including inequalities, and gaps on interpretation;
• present opportunities for collaborative work at international level.
